Pacific Mat became our first finished product, but it did not arrive in one attempt. It was shaped through a long series of prototypes, tests, adjustments, and learning. Each version moved us forward and helped us better understand what the mat needed to become.
From the start, we knew that getting the product right would require more than internal decisions. We needed feedback from people who use a mat regularly and understand the details that matter in practice.
That is why a strong part of the development process was our ongoing collaboration with yoga instructors. Through a continuous development cycle, we were able to test, adjust, and refine the mat version by version. Their feedback helped us see what worked, what needed improvement, and where small changes could make a big difference.
This sparring was essential. It helped us refine the shape, function, and overall quality of the mat in a way that was grounded in real use — not just assumptions. We worked through details carefully, improving the product step by step until the balance felt right.
For us, this process reflects what Seven Oceans stands for. We do not believe in rushing products out before they are ready. We believe in developing with intention, listening closely, and refining until the product earns its place.
When the details finally fell into place, Pacific Mat became more than a prototype. It became our first finished product — and the clearest expression of our approach at that stage of the journey.
